What should I put in my computer repair tool kit?
And yes I know " tools" . Don't be a smart a$$. Be specific. No trolling.I already got a precision screw driver set, artic silver 5, loctite, etc.
Where should I go to get my computer repaired?
I've had my computer for about 5 years now and it's always had Norton Security on it until 2 months ago. Now my desktop only shows the recycle bin and I can't view anything else on my computer. I hooked up my iPod and itunes opened up with all the music in the library so I don't think everything is gone. Plus, the computer still shows it still has its' memory . I also know that it is full of viruses. Where should I go to get this repaired so that everything will go back to normal? PLEASE HEEELPAny estimations guesses on the cost for the repair would be helpful too?

Ok so the part that holds my screen and my computer together cracked If i shut my computer it'll break right off. i really need my computer repaired because im a college student and i do all of my work on it. does anyone know how much a repair is? or do you know where i can get it fixed for a reasonable price?

HP computer repair at Staples?
I have an HP Pavilion Laptop that is about a year old and I am having an issue with it. The laptop is running fine but on the left hand side, the little piece that allows you to open and close the screen has come lose a bit and when I close or open the screen, the little piece underneath the screen is coming lose as well. Because the laptop is out of warranty I am unable to send it back. It doesn't appear to be something difficult to fix. Is this something that a store like Staples can fix, or is there somewhere else that I could take it? Thank you in advance
How long should it take for a computer repair shop to install windows xp?
Hi i took my pc in to a computer repair shop to have them put windows XP on it on feb 1st and the guy said he guaranteed it would be done by the morning because they don't see alot of customers in the winter and its the third. Ive tried to call the place several times and it goes to voicemail EVERY Time. What should i do?
If computer repair shot technician damages a machine does he or the company have to pay for replacements?
A shop caused some very minor scratching to a machine I brought in but the nature of the location of the scratch means that replacement of an entire VERY expensive section of the machine will need to be replaced with it.They've agreed I will incur no costs for this replacement and all in all it works out very well for me as other bits of my machine will be replaced like new that wouldn't otherwise have been my only concern is that the technician himself apologised to me and the conversation implied that he personally would have to pay for the replacement. If I knew for sure that he would have to do so and given how little guys like that tend to get paid then I'd rather just live with the little scratch than be so mean but otherwise, since I paid the company for repair work and the machine came back scratched, I want the replacements to go ahead. I would assume anyway that the company is insured for situations just like these.Does anyone know who has to absorb the cost in situations like these?Elite I know already that I can get the repairs done at zero cost to myself, they've told me already and admitted fault. I just don't want to go ahead with making them order the replacement parts if the technician who made the mistake has to pay the cost rather than the company. It seems too mean

Can i make a living by learning computer repair in a program?
I'm planning to study computer repair and softwares to make as my career. i enjoy fixing computers and any other technology based stuff. I didn't go to college but i still could go if i want to but the thing is that there is this computer program that teaches you about computers and much more about technology, they will help me get a A certification. in college i'll be learning the same thing just paying a ton of money. this program is free and after your done they help you find a job. its a 6 month course and when you finish it you can go back for advance training for 1 year. i could become like an IT person or something else. is me going to this program instead of college will make me have a good paying job in the future that i could live off? cause i know that now in the world a lot of people are having problems with technology and need people to fix them. in hospitals machines tend to get messed up and so hospitals need IT people to fix them or any technology problem. now a days technology is a big thing and pretty much the world runs on technology and needs people to fix them when they get messed up or broken. so i think there should be a lot of jobs available for technology stuff and should pay good to make a living right? would i be able to make a lot of money if i take this program and in the future i will be able to pay rent etc. without struggling? please help me out ? advice works too i'm 18 by the way

I am looking for a good utility to add to my toolkit.I am currently using d7 by foolish.it and Ultra Virus Killer UVK as my main programs and was wondering if all you techs out there like me had something better to add to my toolkit of computer repairing. Please let me know of many that will make it a lot easier and faster when working on my customer's computers.
