Is Geek Squad better than the local computer repair guy?
How much do they charge for house calls vs. taking your stuff to the store? Is there any reason to use them instead of a local guy? Oh, and will either one steal stuff from your computer? Or are they pretty honest?I need some serious help with my desktop. So many problems.

Evening, So I have a problem with my DELL computer. I paid 1200 for this apparently amazing computer with everything added on it, and what happens? The sockets dont work. Thats right, All that money and nothing, and its only been a year Now then, I was going to take it to a computer repair shop but I m scared after watching this clip on how Most of them repair shops are crooks who take out the expensive stuff inside your computer and replace it with old non new cheaper replacements.Is this true? Does this really happen? If so, where the bloody hell can I fix my expensive yet badly made PC?Thank you, and Curses to DELL for their stupid services. HP here I come

I just bought 1GB of RAM DIMM DDR400 from my local computer repair store as by computer is broken. It cost my 79 which is a lot so when I got home I looked up the cost on the internet and some shops do it for like 30.I dont know much about computers but does 79 sound right for a single 1GB DDR1 RAM?

well i have a laptop and the screen had messed up. i took it to a local repair place and i was wondering will they look at what you have on your computer if its just the screen that is messed up? also should i have deleted anything from my computer before i took it?i also put a password on my account. will they still be able to look at it?
