How Do You Clean A Computer Registry?

I got the Ashampoo Registry Cleaner and 780 files popped up. The problem with that is most say refers to missing file. Or installer points to missing folder. So are all of these suppose to be deleted and if not what am I suppose to keep?.

can you help me clean my computer registry?

So i have heard that if you "clean up" your computer registry it just might make it run a little faster. Well i went to my registry and when i looked at it i was like "HUH?" well i made a copy of my registry and saved it but that’s all i have done, im not sure where to start and what to look for to get it cleaned up. Eliminating entries in windows 7 registry to manually remove virus?

Briefly. My windows 7 computer is not currently infected with a virus or malware. I would like to catch up on how to manually remove virus from a windows 7 registry. Tried looking at a google tutorial on my own and I can’t find anything in regards to this and windows 7. Understanding the possible dangers working with the registry. Can anyone help?

- so often you can see something which says it will clean your computer registry but after the scan it says that it will only fix the "problems" if you buy the program
- would you know of any free program ( that does a good job of it ) which cleans your computer registry ? please and thank you

Registry Mechanic 6 or System Mechanic 7? Which one or are both of them good to have on your computer?

I already have Registry Mechanic 6 installed on my Compaq Presario 5320US and I have found it very helpful at times. However, I see an excellent deal for the System Mechanic 7 at a major retail store and I just want to know if having both software installed would be a redundant or unwise choice to make. I am considering these software choices because of their beneficial system maintenance utilities.

I need to use the photoshop CS3 trial, but I’ve used it before. How can I delete the files from my registry?

Apparently the trial has some filed in your registry that you can effectively remove with some software. I’ve got one called RegClean – will this work?

I need this trial urgently, I can’t afford CS3 or CS2 but I’m very good with photo editing programs.
Can I ask, is Gimp any good? I know it’s free but does it compare with photoshop?
