How can I repair WINDOWS Xp without reinstalling the entire operating system?????!!!!
Okay, i was doing some computer cleaning, deleting junk files, uninstalling, etc… then when i restarted my computer, my operating system, windows xp media center, the whole interface was lost. in other words, i cant see my desktop start menu, everything was reseted as if it was in safe mode and the whole GUI, graphical user interface stopped working. SO i cant copy my files or other things that i want to save before i would install the whole operating system all over again. SO BASICALLY I THINK THAT THERE IS A REGISTRY ERROR OF SOME KIND AND I CANT CLICK, COPY, CUT, ERASE, OR ANYTHING, NOT EVEN START ETC. How can i repair the system, i already tried system restore but it gives me an error that it is corrupted. I think of either using recovey console in windows when ou boot it up, BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE THAT!!! PLEASE HELP !!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The error is that you thought you were smarter than a few hundred programmers and would tweak individual items here and there. Windows knows what it’s doing; leave it alone.

Boot from the Windows disc and choose the R option to repair your current OS.
