		<description>If you can get to the Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs from Safe Mode, click on Show updates at the top. Near the very bottom of the list will be Service Pack 2. Click on it, then click on Remove. Close Control Panel and restart the computer. Hopefully this will fix it. Do this way before you re-install Windows XP.

This might help answer some of the questions. Some people have a problem with SP2, you may very well be one of them. Uninstall it, then check with Microsoft through the link and see if you can find answers there.</description>
