A registry cleaner will absolutely help an ailing PC! I’d suggest using CCleaner. CCleaner will not only clean your registry, but also allow you to erase space-wasting temporary files. Another option is SpyBot. SpyBot will clean your registry and scan for spyware. Links are in the source list.

Yes, a registry cleaner will help, but you need more, you need to control your start up items, kill orphan files, and generally clean up the system. For all of these, I use CCleaner as it handles everything I just mentioned, is very efficient, and is free. Goto and click on TOOLS, get CCSetup119.EXE and install it, then run it and do an update.

Download.com has all sorts of free software, and recommendations. But first, go to my computer add/remove and remove stuff you don’t use. Then do a defrag of your computer. Go to help, index and type in defrag.

The only way to make your computer fast is goto add/remove and uninstall all the programs you do not use.
Also unchecking everything under msconfig except your antivirus will help by freeing up memory.

Do you have a lot of background programs running like msn messenger, explorer, itunes, limewire etc(icons that you see at the lower right of your screen)? Normally these will eat up your memory causing your Windows PC to slow down.
Why not give PC Booster 2008 a try to boost your PC performance in 2 minutes. i have used for 3 years and it works great!
If you haven’t cleaned your registry for some time. You should do it now. The registry in Windows PC contains information regarding your updates, installs, un-installs etc. Each one of those events produces a key. That key needs your PC’s resources and free space. So, if you clean your registry, you make more resources available for speed.
PC Booster contains the latest registry cleaner technology to clean up all your registry problems too. Recommeded by CNET and PCMag.
